What the Website is About

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

Hello Everyone,

This the first entry for the Real Estate Investors’ Blog (REI Blog).  I decided I would use this entry to explain that I envision this website becoming and how I came up with the idea.

My website serves the following function:

1.) Serve as a resource for like-minded real estate entrepreneurs.

I came up with the idea of having a blog for real estate entrepreneurs, because for the last seven years I have been investing in real estate and have not found a good free resource for people like me who want to discuss investing in real estate.  If you Google “Real Estate Investor”, you will get thousands of hits.  However, most of these are selling expensive “Get Rich Quick” programs or are websites with 90% advertisements and 10% content.  I am all for people making money, but I would like to see a website out there that puts 90% content and 10% advertisements.  I will have limited “pay per click” ads and links to Amazon for books that I have read and consider valuable.   With that being said, I want the meat of my blog to be about providing good content to my readers.

Ok.  So what is the good content I am referring to?

1. My weekly blogs discussing real estate events.

2. Interviews with successful real estate investors, so that we can learn from their experience.

3.  Free rental forms for landlords that need a lease, application, etc.

4. Analytic spreadsheets in excel that can help an investor evaluate potential investments.

5. Recommended reading books that I have read and believe would be beneficial for my readers.

I look forward to chatting with you.  If you have any questions or like this website, please let me know by emailing me at rogersmichael1@mac.com.
